We
spent the good part of 2 hours studing both models
of these 2 Berth Luxury Euro Tourers in Darwin
in November and I still can't decide they are
both just so roomy and excellent value. They
call it a deluxe camper but to us it's a luxury
smaller motorhome. Something else we notice the
Apollo depot only a few kilometres from our office
has just excellent staff such as Cathy Waters
in Darwin, they are very well informed, polite
and so helpful.
We
are very careful when booking your rental and
when we book Apollo we feel you are in very good
hands; combined with our staff's dedication and
expertise and Apollo's campers and motorhomes
and the friendly Apollo staff and backup service
we really feel we can offer you a great rental
package for your next vacationing holiday across

| How
long does the battery system last? |
All Apollo vehicles have a dual battery system. This means
that the engine battery is separate from the battery system
used for internal appliances, such as the fridge, lights
and water pump. The appliance battery system will last
approximately 12 hours when fully charged. The batteries
only recharge when you drive the vehicle. Since the engine
battery is separate, if you flatten one of the rear batteries,
you will still be able to start the engine and drive.
All vehicles have the facility to plug into electricity.
When you plug into electricity in a caravan park all accessories
automatically run off 240V electricity rather than the
batteries. You can then use appliances such as the television,
microwave and rear airconditioning that only run off electricity.

is supplied with the vehicle? |
Each vehicle is supplied with complimentary living equipment
(such as bedding, cooking equipment, eating utensils,
bath and tea towels.) Also, each vehicle is supplied with
a complimentary Apollo Pack for your first night. The
pack contains matches, mini shampoo and conditioner,dishwashing
liquid, a sponge, soap, salt and pepper, coffee, tea and
sugar sachets. Also provided are comprehensive maps and
camp ground guides. We strongly recommend that you use
soft bags instead of suitcases for your luggage. Soft
bags take up less room and fit easier into the storage
cupboards and lockers in the vehicle. |
| Why
should I choose the VIP Protection Package? |
Unless you take the VIP Protection Package you run the
risk of being responsible for considerable costs associated
with damage to, or theft of, the vehicle. This applies
even if the damage was not your fault! For example, you
are liable if someone runs into you or if a rock from
a passing car hits your windscreen and causes damage.
Also, you are responsible for the subsequent costs if
you are unlucky enough to puncture a tyre. VIP Protection
gives you peace of mind in such circumstances as you will
only be liable for up to $250 AUD unless you breach the
terms and conditions of the rental contract. |
| Do
I need a special driver's licence? |
A
valid current car driver's licence is to be produced for
everyone intending to drive the vehicle on the tour. State,
Overseas or International Licenses are acceptable. However,
the licence must be in English characters for our staff
to read. |
| Where
do we camp at night? |
We
strongly recommend that you stay in a caravan (RV) park.
Australia has an extensive network of caravan parks
in all major tourist centres and in most towns. They
offer excellent recreation facilities and of course
have superb shower and toilet amenities. They also have
provision for you to plug the vehicle into electricity.
There is ordinarily no need to book ahead, even in peak
periods. The approximate cost is $25 to $30 (Australian
dollars) a night. Most national parks have areas set
aside for camping. There are often shower and toilets,
barbecues and picnic areas and of course national parks
provide a scenic and peaceful place to stay at overnight.
However these areas generally do not have facility for
you to plug the vehicle into electricity. Because of
local council laws you are not permitted to camp on
the side of the road in the vicinity of towns. However
outside the towns and in country areas it is generally
allowed.

Seat Fitting |
Baby
seats (3 years and under) and booster seats (minimum
4 years of age) can be fitted in main cabin. A booster
seat can also be strapped in the front passenger seat
with the diagonal seatbelt by law.
Baby Seats are generally for children minimum 6 months
old - 3 years old and and Booster Seats are generally
for children children ages between 4 and 8.
Baby and Booster Seats have to be pre-booked, otherwise
cannot be guaranteed. Age and weight of child required
on booking. optional extra per rental per chair. (Either
one Booster/Child seat is included in our All Inclusive
