Tasmania National Parks

Tasmanian Seamounts:Aprrox 170 km south of Hobart. The size approx being 370 square kilometres are 70 odd seamounts arising from water depths of between 1000 and 2000 m on the continental slope, between 50 and 170 km off southern Tasmania. These are remnants of extinct volcanoes. This park is inaccessable to the average traveller as it's off the mainland of Australia though the link here is for general information only

Victorian Alpine National Parks

Victoria's largest national park Alpine National Park covers some 6400 sq klm of Victoria's High Country. It stretches along the Great Dividing Range from Mansfield through to the New South Wales border. Some features of geographical significance of the park include Mount Bogong (1986 metres) and Mount Feathertop (1922 metres),the State's tallest mountains; as well as steep river valleys, escarpments and theopen high plains.
